Why did you join the team at the Electric City Food Co-Op?
I want to support the creation of something meaningful. I think food co-ops are a significant part of a community’s heart and soul. ECFC is going to benefit Schenectady in many ways - by promoting locally grown and healthy food, by helping people with limited means to buy the food they need, and by being a gathering space for all who support the mission of ECFC.

What excites you about Schenectady?
After growing up downstate, I have lived in Schenectady County for 16 years, and have raised my children here. We love what Schenectady has to offer. There are so many committed, smart and passionate people working to constantly improve and grow this community.

I personally love cooking and finding delicious and interesting local products to try. There is so much potential for ECFC to give people a whole new outlook on local food. I can’t wait to get the co-op off the ground!
